Abstract

919,338. Electromedical apparatus. HARA, H. Dec. 14, 1961 [Feb. 6, 1961], No. 44728/61. Class 81 (2). In electromedical apparatus, alternating low voltage is converted to high voltage by an autotransformer 2 and a high-voltage transformer 6, one end of the secondary winding of the latter being earthed at 7, and the other end being connected, through a condenser 24, either to a conductive plate 16 upon which a patient may recline, or to a conductive plate 20 suspended over a patient. The voltage applied to the primary winding of transformer 6 may be varied by a controller 3, it is stated, from 0 V. to 100 V. The output voltage of transformer 6 may, it is stated, be 15,000 V.
