Abstract

552,110. Electro-medical apparatus; massage. ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS, Ltd., and SOMMER, W. July 3, 1942, No. 9192. [Class 81 (ii)) A massaging device embodying means for simultaneously effecting faradization of the part under massage comprises an insulating casing 1 in which is disposed at the lower end an electro-magnet 2 energised by a supply of alternating current. An applicator 4 screwing on the casing end holds a diaphragm 6 in place with freedom to vibrate. In an extension 13 of the casing 1 is mounted a transformer 16 and a battery 17 for supplying a faradic current to the transformer.
