Abstract
554,848. Interrupters. MILINOWSKI. A. S. March 18, 1942, No. 3612. [Class 38 (v)] [Also in Group XL] Apparatus for administering therapeutical treatment comprises a high frequency generator of short waves in pulses with a duration of less than 1/100 of a second with intervals between the pulses of ten or more times the pulse duration and means adapted to apply the voltages generated to a patient. Fig. 1 shows a pusn-pull oscillator 46, 48 fed with pulses through a transformer 22 derived from a rectified high tension supply and interrupted by the parallel valves 10, 12 controlled by a motor-driven interrupter 34. Fig. 2 shows the form of the pulses and Fig. 3 the construction of the interrupter comprising a duralumin studded disc and a cooperating knife-edge 36 of phosphor bronze, condenser 37 and choke 39 preventing arcing.
