Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the efficiency of a DC power supply stabilizer by utilizing the battery power connected to the input terminal as it is and compensating the excessive or insufficient output voltage at the output terminals by means of switching regulator operation.
CONSTITUTION: An AC voltage is generated through primary windings 4a, 4b of a high frequency transformer 4 from the DC voltage of an input terminal 1 by the switching operation of a switching transistor 5 and transmitted to secondary windings 4c, 4d. The AC voltage is again converted through a diode 7 and a capacitor 8 to DC voltage to thereby produce an output voltage, which is detected by dividing resistors 10, 11 to switch the transistor 5 through a differential amplifier 12 and an oscillator 13 to coincide with the voltage of a standard voltage source 9. This device can utilize the output voltage of a battery 3 connected to the terminal 1 by 100% and compensate the excessive or insufficient output voltage necessary for the output terminal 2 by a switching regulator to thereby reduce the loss and to improve the efficiency as compared with the conventional switching regulator.
