[Class 40 (v)] An intermediate frequency is used which is at least five times the highest picture frequency in a television signal. Band-pass filters 8 ... 12 are used in the intermediate-frequency amplifier 4 ... 7 and to couple its output to a cathoderay tube 16. The coils A in the band-pass filters have high-frequency iron cores, and are damped by resistances R.
