449,129. Air supply to furnaces. BUGATTI, E., Molsheim, Bas-Rhin, France. Oct. 2, 1935, No. 27195. Convention date, Oct, 8, 1934. [Class 51 (i)] In a furnace fired by liquid or pulverized fuel, the combustion chamber 3 is separated by a heat transferring partition 2 from an air chamber 1 from which heated air for combustion passes to the combustion chamber through passages 8 adjacent the fuel burners 4 which extend through the air chamber, and in order to prevent heat losses the outer wall of the air chamber is protected by an insulating covering 6. Air is fed to the chamber 1 under pressure through a pipe 5.
