[Class 123 (ii)] [See also Group XII] One or more flue tubes g are provided in the steam space of return-tube steam boilers and accommodate a number of tubes h through which the whole or a part of the air for combustion is passed. With producer gas firing the heated air constitutes the secondary air supplied through a conduit m to the burner. With gas or oil firing refractory radiant members such as described in Specification 300,298, [Class 51 (i)], may be mounted in the furnace tubes. Specifications 305,288, [Class 51 (i)], and 377,767, [Group XII], also are referred to.
