Aug. 12, 1922, Liquid-fuel furnaces.-A sectional boiler is adapted to burn liquid fuel by arranging a preliminary combustion chamber E supplied with fuel bv one or more burners G in front of the main combustion chamber B, the grate of which is covered with fire-tiles D provided with openings d' for the admission of air. The combustion chamber E is lined with refractory material, air openings k<1> being provided at the bottom. The space below the chamber E is divided by a partition f<2> into ducts K, M, each of which is provided at the front with valves for controlling the admission of air to the combustion chambers E and B. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 7925/02 and 150,230.
