A second wall C is arranged behind the wall B and has apertures C' in the top half for the passage of the products of combustion and a large aperture C<2> in the bottom half for cleaning purposes. Secondary air heated in the chamber a mixes with the combustion products in the space D and the mixture is ignited by the wall C which becomes white-hot, thus consuming smoke.
