Abstract
446,858. Brake shoes. FIBRAX, Ltd., and PETRIE, W. D. G., 2, Tudor Street, London. April 4, 1935, No. 10465. [Class 103 (i)] In brake shoes for internalexpanding brakes, of the kind having a detachable friction lining strip provided with a web for the attachment of the lining to the body of the shoe, such as described in Speci. fication 412,299, the body comprises a pair of plates one at least of which is of angle section, between which the web is secured by bolts or rivets passing through the plates and web. In Fig. 2, the web 15 of the lining 12 is disposed between a pair of steel pressings 16 of L-section secured together by bolts 17. The inner edges of the web parts 14 of the pressings may be pressed together. The members 14, 16 may be so formed as to provide abutments for the ends of the web of the lining. The web 15 and the parts 14 may be corrugated. A pressure member 18 and a pivot member may be secured as shown to the ends of the pressings. Specification 440,142, also is referred to.
