780,088. Friction clutches. FERODO, Ltd. Jan. 23, 1956 [Jan. 21, 1955; June 22, 1955], Nos. 1936/55 and 18094/55. Class 80 (2). [Also in Group XXXIV] A clutch friction lining 1 is secured to a shoe by bolts passing through holes 5 in keeper strips 3 bonded in grooves in the rear face of the lining, the lining being recessed at 9 to provide access to the bolts. The holes 5 may be slotted to the end of the strip 3 to facilitate assembly of the lining to the shoe, or the strips may have threaded bosses welded thereto. Specification 623,021 is referred to.
