Abstract
914,220. Friction clutches. DAIMLERBENZ A.G. April 26, 1961 [April 28, 1960], No. 15117/61. Class 80 (2). In an hydraulic plate clutch those plates without friction lining are each formed from two discs secured together and provided on their contacting inner faces with straight or curved cooling slots 30, 30<SP>1</SP> extending over the full width of the discs. The slot arrangements are identical in the two discs, so that the slots cross one another when the discs are secured face to face. The slots extend to the gaps between the disc driving teeth 28 and, as shown, radial bores 31 may be provided in the external or internal drum to facilitate oil flow.
