Abstract
487,316. Internal shoe brakes. AUTOMOTIVE PRODUCTS CO., Ltd., HAYES, C., and CHOUINGS, L. C. Dec. 21, 1936, No. 15114/38. Divided out of 487,252. [Class 103 (i)] The invention described in Specification 487,252, is shown applied to an internal shoe brake of the self-energizing type. The shoes are adapted to apply one another by means of an adjuster 53 connecting their lower ends. The upper ends are operated by a hydraulic cylinder 34 and anchor on anchors 40 by means of V-shaped notches having sliding surfaces 37a which engage the flat sides of intermediate members 38 rotatable on the anchors. Specification 311,015, [Class 103 (i)], also is referred to.
