Abstract

443,320. Brake shoes. TRIST, H. H. P., Springhill, Leigh Woods, Bristol. April 25, 1935, No. 12464. [Class 103 (i)] A brake shoe lining 13 is attached to a thin plate 16 of springy metal formed with projections enabling it to be sprung into position on the brake shoe. The strip 16 is curled over to form beads 20 at the ends which engage recesses 21 in the shoe 10. The middle of the strip is joggled at 18 to engage a recess 19 in the shoe 10 to prevent relative circumferential movement. The shoe and strip 16 have holes through which projects peg-shaped excrescences 17 of the friction lining.
