Abstract

446,264. Supply systems for discharge lamps. LARK, G. T. KINGSLEY-, 5, Eldon Road, Hampstead, London. March 18, 1935, No. 26783/34. [Class 38 (iv)] [See also Group XL] Comprises a circuit for supplying luminous discharge tubes with high frequency energy from a L.F. supply. The anodes of a pair of valves A, B are connected to an A.C. supply through high frequency chokes L1, L2 and to the primary winding of the H.F. transformer L3 through condensers C1, C2 which isolate the H.F. circuit from the L.F. circuit. The grid biassing of the valves is determined by cross-connected condensers C3, C4 and resistances r1, r2. The filaments are supplied from a transformer T. The luminous discharge tubes may be energized by induction. An interrupter may be included in the supply to obtain particular lighting effects. Specification 380,138, [Group XL], is referred to.
