Void [Abridged as open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Aug. 27, 1934]. [Class 35] Exciting.-To obtain a constant power output independent of current changes in a Diesel or like driven generator a local flux circuit is provided in the main pole controlled by a differential series winding b, and arranged so that the portion of this circuit which is opposing the main flux becomes saturated at a determined current loading. As shown the local circuit is formed with a central part a of the main pole and the two side portions, the width of the central part equalling that of the two side parts. A shunt or separately excited winding may be used to assist the differential series winding and a series winding may assist the main shunt winding d.
