Abstract

417,517. Exciting dynamos. PESTARINI, G. M., 4, Tapton House Road, Sheffield. April 3, 1933, No. 10006. [Class 35.] A metadyne generator is provided with a winding producing a flux in line with the primary commutating axis which winding is excited in parallel with the load circuit with or without additional separate excitation. In the form shown, resistances R<1>, R<2> ensure that the currents through the winding VW<4> are proportional to the applied and output voltages and limit the current flow between the two circuits ; the series winding VW<5> may be omitted. In a modified form the winding in the output circuit is connected directly across the load brushes B, D and is used in conjunction with a winding connected across the brushes A, C or a separately excited winding.
