July 25, 1934, No. 21739. [Class 102 (i)] [See also Group XXII] A reciprocating pump for supplying lubricant to a tool comprises a piston d and cylinder a, the former being moved for the pumping stroke by fluid pressure, delivered through the pipe f, which may be compressed air or liquid under pressure. The suction stroke of the pump is effected by a spring e or by a weight and takes place during the idle movement of the tool when the lubricant c is cut-off by the valve h. The piston may be fixed and the cylinder moved instead of the above arrangement.
