Abstract
435,843. Taps for containers. ATKINSON, E., 71, Waverley Road, Ontario, Canada. April 8, 1935, No. 10779. Convention date, April 11, 1934. [Class 135] [See also Group XVII] An inset tap arrangement for containers or the like comprises a cup A which is adapted when secured in position by screwing or otherwise to be flush with the wall of the container, an outlet extension Q which can be pulled out from the outlet P of a plug valve R, arranged inside the container to extend beyond the cup A, an operating key H attached to the spindle J of the valve, and a non-return air valve G to which an air supply can be connected to force the liquid through a pipe O, valve R, and outlet Q on operation of the key H to open the valve R. A cover E is provided for closing the front of the cup A when the tap is not in use.
