Abstract

419,413. Tapping casks. DENNIS, W., 140, Stackpool Road, Southville, Bristol. April 9, 1934, No. 10620. [Class 21.] An attachment for withdrawing beer &c. from a barrel comprises a bush 6 secured tightly within an outer bush 2 which is secured to the barrel by screws passing through a flange 5, the inner bush receiving the stem 11 of a spring- controlled valve 10 which is pressed off its seat when a tap 8 is screwed, but closes when the tap is removed, and the outer bush carrying a removable filter 15 which projects within the barrel. The inner bush may be closed by a plug when the tap is in place.
