Abstract
412,118. Lift valves. SCHMIDT, H., 15, Bernerstrasse, Lichterfelde, Berlin. Dec. 5, 1933, No. 34176. [Class 135.] Water taps for washbasins in hospitals &c. have the rotatable handle m lying in the path of the supply and carrying the valve member c, which may be coned, as shown, or of leather washer type, and a tapped portion p<3> screwing into the casing b. Guiding-ribs a are provided below the valve member c, movement of which is limited by a screw s. The tapped portion p<9> may lie below the member c, in which case it must be recessed to allow passage of water and the ribs a are dispensed with. A recess d in the outlet tends to throw the water stream upon the handle m.
