[Class 135.] Lift valves.-In a domestic &c. delivery tap of the rotary screwed nozzle type, the rotary screwed member b is fitted with a screwed member f carrying on crossarms c a conicalheaded valve stem b<2> adapted to seat, at a<2>, against the stationary inlet member a. When the valve is opened the water discharges through passages surrounding the stem b<2>. A bib or nozzle d, which may contain a strainer, is screwed to the rotary member b. A stop collar e is fitted to the stationary inlet a to limit the opening movement of the rotary member b.
