[Class 20 (i)] The roof of a plant shelter comprises a plurality of sections 22, 23, 24, at least one of which can slide into overlapping relationship with an adjacent section, the sliding section being supported on the shelter through the medium of a laterally extending flange or like projection. In the construction shown, all three sections are slidable. The shelter comprises four detachably connected walls 10-13 each consisting of an open frame built of angle-bars 15. To the upper bar of the side walls, a strip 32 having grooved portions 31, 34 is secured. These grooves slidably receive the downturned flanges of the upper T-section bars of the sliding roof sections. The end sections 23, 24 slide in the groove 31 and the lower angle-section bars thereof slide on the upper glazing bar of the front wall. The middle section 22 slides in the groove 34 and its lower bar 28, which is of T-section, is similarly supported on the front wall. The sections may be slidden off the shelter or they may be removed by lifting them to a horizontal position by handles 36 and withdrawing them horizontally. The strip 32 may have a rain shield formed integrally therewith, as shown, or a rain shield may be detachably secured thereto. The walls of the shelter are protected by bars 20. The structure may be extended by removing the rear wall and securing a further pair of end walls to the shelter, as shown in dotted lines in Fig. 2. These extensions are interconnected by a wall similar to the wall 10, and the latter supports the lower ends of additional sliding roof sections.
