624,569. Ventilators. COLCLOUGH, G. May 8, 1947, No. 371. [Classes 20(iii) and 137] A ventilator of the kind comprising a multiplicity of windows or the like each pivoted about a horizontal axis and connected for simultaneous adjustment has louvres 8, 8a pivoted at 10, 10c, in frames 1, 1a, 1b which are joined together as shown by a tongue 2 secured in a rebate 2a and are provided with inturned flanges 3, 3a, 3b and at contiguous edges with overlapping extensions 5, 5a, a stop 12 being provided to limit the extent to which the upper louvres 8 can be opened. The louvres which are of glass or other transparent material have a U-sectioned edging 9 to which the pivot pins are secured; the latter are extended at one side to receive cranks 14 connected to the rod 15 for simultaneous adjustment by the lever 17. A ventilator having any desired number of louvres may be built up by adding additional intermediate units 1a.
