Abstract

471,938. Horticultural frames. FOX, C. March 23, 1936, No. 8560. [Classes 20 (i) and 20 (iii)] Horticultural frames of the type in which the lights slope downwardly from a ridge-bar on each side, have the ridge and side-bars grooved to receive the panes 1, the width of the grooves 4, 4x being greater than twice the thickness of the glass and the groove 4 in the ridge bar being at least twice the depth of the groove 4x in each side bar. By this means the panes are easily inserted in the bars and they may be slid over each other to provide spaces for ventilation. The grooves in the side bars are provided with drainage apertures 5 to prevent the retention of water. The frames may be hinged together at the ridge and are provided with stop bars 9 to position them on the lower side and end walls which are secured together by bolts and wing-nuts.
