431,237. Cam mechanism; internalcombustion engines. BORS, K., Kosice, Czecho-Slovakia. July 23, 1934, No. 21527. Convention date, July 27, 1933. [Class 80 (iii)] [See also Group XXVII] In mechanism of the kind in which a reciprocating part such as a piston 1 rotates a shaft 7 by means of a cam 6 and at least two rollers 5 or the like symmetrically placed, the cam having at least two acting surfaces, the axis of rotation of the cam coincides with the axis of the piston. The cam shown is sinusoidal and has at least two " waves." The piston is prevented from rotating by projections 13 and guideways 12, or by separate slides mounted on the roller shaft 3. In an application to a two-stroke internal-combustion engine, Fig. 2, the cylinder 11 is formed with slots 12 by which the piston is guided by means of its projections 13. Through the projections a bolt 14 passes carrying conical rollers 15 in engagement with a cam slot between cylinders 16, 17 which are secured together and to a driving shaft 22.
