Abstract
430,436. Discharge apparatus. GRIGSBY-GRUNOW CO., 5801, Dickens Avenue, Chicago, U.S.A.-(Assignees of Brian, W. S. ; 128, Home Avenue, Oak Park, Illinois, U.S.A.) Dec. 27, 1933, No. 36360. Convention date, Dec. 27, 1932. [Class 39 (i)] A tube comprises a cathode having a grid and anode associated with one portion of it, a second anode associated with another portion, an insulating member secured to some of the electrode supports and a screen between the grid and anode and the second anode secured to the insulating member. In one form, a cathode 14 is surrounded by a grid wound on posts 22, 23 secured in mica spacers 17, 20 and by an anode mounted on post 9. The post 4 also supports the spacers 17, 20 and serves as the cathode lead. A further mica disc 16 mounted on the posts has secured to it by tongues a flanged shield 29 which is connected to the cathode lead 4. Inside the shield a pair of semicircular diode anodes 34, 35 co-operating with the lower end of the cathode 14 is mounted.
