629,881. Electron multipliers. PHILIPS ELECTRICAL, Ltd. Dec. 31, 1947, No. 35179. Convention date, June 6, 1939. [Class 39 (i)] In an electron multiplier the anode is in the form of a rod or strip 4 placed behind a rod 6 at cathode potential. Two further rods 7 guide the electrons from the cathode 1 on the secondary emitting electrode 5, which surrounds the anode on the side remote from the cathode. Control.and screen grids 2, 3 surround the cathode. Several electrode systems similar to that described may be used with the cathode. The subjectmatter of this Specification is identical with that of Specification 544,225.
