[Classes 66 and 125 (iii)] In a tin, canister &c. having a replaceable lid 2 and an anti-pilfering capsule 4 underlying or overlying it and formed with a tear-out strip, the tab-opening 8 of the strip is sealed by a sealing element 7 air-tightly applied across the opening beneath the tab. The capsule may be of thin metal, the sealing element being then also of metal and soldered in place, or, as shown, the capsule may be of metal backed with paper and the sealing element, similarly constituted, adhesively attached.
