428,336. Valves. HUMBLET, J., 24, Rue Jacques Raye, Brussels. July 17, 1934, No. 20948. Convention date, July 17, 1933. [Class 135] A valve device particularly applicable to fire extinguishers and of the kind having an operating member and an associated pressure device whereby wear can be taken up and a second actuating means provided, has the pressure device formed with slowly and quickly movable members. In the form shown the valve member 15 is attached to a spindle 16 having an eye encircling a shaft 23. This shaft has a pair of cams 25 adapted to bear against an abutment 39 to open the valve and against an adjustable abutment 31 to close the valve. The abutment 31 is slidably mounted in the cap 27 and is held against rotation by a pin 30‹ engaging a slot 30‹‹. It is operated by a screw 45 of normal pitch working in a screw 42 of quick pitch provided with an operating handle 43. To prevent displacement during transit a screwed locking pin 44 is provided.
