427,458. Electrodeposition of cobalt. BERGER, H. M. J., 8, Rue Petit, Clichy, Seine, France. Nov. 23, 1934, No. 33697. [Class 41] A cobalt-plating bath contains cobalt chloride, alkali metal or ammonium bifluoride and an alkali metal or ammonium chloride. Cobalt acetate may also be present. A suitable composition is crystallised cobalt chloride 40-150 gms., alkali metal or ammonium bifluoride 10-40 gms., ammonium chloride 15-60 gms. and cobalt acetate 15-60 gms. to 1 litre of water. Boric acid and the usual " glossing agents " may be added.
