[Class 41] An article of tarnishable metal such as silver is coated electrolytically with yellow gold and then with a thin layer of rhodium in order to produce a white reflecting surface ; the layer of yellow gold permits the article to resist chemical agents which may penetrate the pores of the rhodium layer.
