525,847. Electrodeposition of nickel. POTTS, H. E. (Udylite Corporation). March 2, 1939, No. 6787. [Class 41] Nickel is deposited from aqueous acid nickel solutions containing a sulphonamide or sulphonimide such as benzene sulphonamide, o-benzoyl sulphonimide, p-benzoic sulphonamide, o- or pbenzoic sulphondichloramide, o- or p-toluene sulphonamide, p-toluene sulphonchloramide or sodium p-toluene sulphonchloramide. Aldehydes and ketones such as are described in Specification 525,848, may also be' added. The bath may contain also a wetting agent such as octyl alcohol sulphate, or tetrahydro- or isopropyl-naphthalene sulphonic acid, small quantities of zinc or cadmium salts, boric acid and a chloride.
