Abstract

Electrodeposited coatings of zinc are rendered bright by dipping in a bath containing 10-60 oz. chromic acid, 0,05-5,0 oz. anhydrous sodium sulphate and 0,1-1,0 oz. nitric acid per gallon. A preferred bath contains 40 oz. chromic acid, 2 oz. anhydrous sodium sulphate and 0,7 oz. nitric acid per gallon.
