Abstract

Electrodeposited zinc coatings are brightened and passivated by dipping into dilute nitric acid solution, the solution containing not more than 1 per cent and preferably 0,1-0,6 per cent of acid. Specifications 472,995, 472,996, 473,147; and 474,449, [Group XXXVI], are referred to.
