Abstract
An alloy for use as anode in electrode-position of zinc (see Group XXXVI) is composed of lead with small amounts of tin and cobalt. The anode may also contain a small amount of silver. The amounts may be from 0.1 to 0.3 per cent tin, from 0.0005 to 0.03 per cent cobalt, and from 0.25 to 1.0 per cent silver. Examples given of lead anodes contain 0.84 per cent silver, 0.22 per cent tin and 0.002 per cent cobalt, and 0.81 per cent silver, 0.25 per cent tin and 0.002 per cent cobalt.
