Abstract

Alloys resistant to surface oxidation at high temperatures consist of about 80 per cent of nickel and 20 per cent of aluminium. The alloys are preferably made in a high-frequency electric furnace and may be cast into such articles as pyrometer sheaths or applied as coatings, for example, by dipping. Specification 342,868 is referred to.
