[Classes 39 (iii) and 126] An air-heater comprises an open - ended vertical casing with an interiorly illuminated translucent front wall 9 and two substantially vertical metal plates 19, 15 with a heater between them. The air current enters over a front plate 13, passes behind the glass 9 along the heated plates and is downwardly directed by an upper plate 4. An electric heating element is attached to the corrugated plate 15 or gas or oil heating is employed. An opaque design on the glass 9 or a red transparent screen may hide an electric lamp 12 from direct view. The plate 19 may be rearwardly inclined. The casing may be of slate or artificial stone and have a metal or asbestos back.
