Abstract
473,074. Heating air by electricity. GHEENE, C. G. April 8, 1936, No. 10397. [Class 39 (iii)] In an electrical convector heater 2 having an apertured plate 8 employed in conjunction with electric lamps to give illumination effects, the electric lamp or lamps are secured by supports 6 wholly directly behind solid parts of the plate 8 so as not to be directly visible from the front and the light furnished is flame coloured so that the visible result from the front simulates an ordinary high temperature resistance heater. If the apertures in the plate 8 are parallel slots, the apparatus simulates a bar type heater. A reflector 3 may be provided on the heater casing to increase the illumination and for the same purpose the side of the plate 8 nearest the casing may be painted white.
