Abstract

435,629. Electric stoves. BURNSIDE, G. B., Fairhill, Dullatur, Dumbartonshire. April 25, 1934, No. 12430. [Class 39 (iii)] In an electric air heater comprising a duct A containing a heating element C, for instance as described in Specification 414,475, luminous effects are produced in a region situated apart from the heating element and appreciable heat from the heating element is projected through the luminous region and emanates therefrom. The luminous effects are produced on bars 6 of glass or steel illuminated by a lamp 7. The bars may be hollow and filled with solid or liquid and also may be of angular crosssection. A reflector 8 may be provided behind the bars. Radiant heat from the element C passes through cut-out portions F in the air ducts and also through the reflector 8 and emanates from the luminous region.
