[Class 35] Motors with unwound iron armatures.- A synchronous motor is fed through a half wave rectifier and has only half as many teeth as would be necessary to obtain the same speed without the said rectifier. In the form shown, a metal oxide rectifier d is connected in series with the coils on the polepieces b, c, on the stator a which is surrounded by the toothed rotor e which may drive a gramophone.
