[Class 40 (v)] Relates to valves, amplifiers, rectifiers, or oscillators of the type described in Specification 418,132, and consists in means for applying variable control voltages either to the electron density-regulating grid G1 or to the velocity-regulating grid G2, or to both. The control voltages may be varied manually, by means of adjustable tappings from the high-tension battery B, or they may be derived from known systems of automatic volume control.
