Abstract

420,754. Valves and valve circuits for wireless reception. TELEFUNKEN GES. FUR DRAHTLOSE TELEGRAPHIE, 12, Hallesches Ufer, Berlin. June 6, 1933, No. 16269. Convention date, June 4, 1932. [Classes 39 (i) and 40 (v)] A valve of the kind described in Specification 418,132 comprising one grid for controlling the density and another grid for controlling the velocity of the electron stream is utilized as a short-wave oscillator or amplifier. As shown two such electrode systems are arranged for push-pull amplification in a single bulb. The electron-density regulating grids G1, G1<1> are connected together and to a tapping T1 on the high-tension source B, whilst the velocityregulating grids G2, G2' are connected to a tapping T2. Screening grids SG, SG1 carry the voltage from the tapping T3. A centretapped tuned input circuit IC is connected across the control grids G, G<1> and a similar tuned output circuit OC across the anodes A, A1. When used as an oscillator, the anodes and control grids are cross-coupled.
