420,911. Valve circuits for wireless reception. TELEFUNKEN GES. FUR DRAHTLOSE TELEGRAPHIE, 12, Hallesches Ufer, Berlin. June 6, 1933, No. 16268. Convention date, June, 4, 1932. [Class 40 (v)] A valve of the kind described in Specification 418,132, comprising one grid for regulating the density and a second grid for regulating the velocity of the electron stream, is utilized as a high or low frequency amplifier or as a rectifier. Such valves may be biassed to give a high amplification factor, or a variable-mu characteristic. Upper or lower bend rectification is obtained by suitably biassing the control grid. As shown in the Figure, the high-frequency amplifier V1 comprises a density-control grid G1, a velocity-control grid G2, the usual control grid G, and also a screening-grid SG. The rectifier valve V2 and low-frequency valve V3 are similar to the first valve, with the exception of the screening grid.
