Abstract
370,541. Thermionic valves. TELEFUNKEN GES. FUR DRAHTLOSE TELEGRAPHIE, 12, Hallesches Ufer, Berlin. Jan. 29, 1931, No. 2963. Convention date, Jan. 29, 1930. [Classes 39 (i) and 40 (v).] An external electrode of a valve forms one electrode of a neutralizing or grid-tuning or other condenser connected in the circuit of the valve. In the neutralized circuit arrangement shown in Fig. 2, the external electrode A forms a condenser with an adjustable metal coating B. In the circuit shown in Fig. 3 for eliminating hum, the external electrode A and an insulated coating B form a coupling condenser having a high reactance at low frequencies and low reactance at high frequencies. In another arrangement the insulated coating B is connected to a member serving as a support for the valve.
