Abstract

419,256. Two-stroke engines; valves. CROSS, R. C., 33, Midford Road, Odd Down, Bath. April 24, 1934, No. 12311. [Classes 7 (ii) and 7 (vi).] A rotary valve 5 admits scavenging-air from a pipe 10, and combustible mixture from a pipe 11, to the cylinder ports 4. The pipe 10 communicates with a central chamber in the valve which connects with ports 8, while the pipe 11 communicates with the annular space surrounding the central chamber of the valve and formed with ports 9. The air and mixture are supplied by a two-part blower 12.
