[Class 75 (ii).] An electric lighting fitting for use in the interior lighting of buildings comprises an ornamental moulded glass body, e.g. a " Lalique" tile or bowl, arranged directly in the path of rays from a light source, and one or more flat auxiliary glass members, which are light diffusing and mainly free or without boundary frames at their edges, the auxiliary members extending beyond the sides of the moulded glass body so as to provide a luminous area additional to that of the moulded glass body. The lampshade shown in Fig. 9 comprises the hemispherical moulded glass bowl 5, a circular member 17 of diffusing glass, and an interposed glass or other member 16. The member 17 is provided either with a central opening 18 or with a clear central portion. The bowl 5, and the member 16 together with the member 17, are supported by chains attached to the hooks 19, and chains 15 respectively. In another form, shown in Fig. 8, a moulded tile 13, an obscured glass member 12 with a central opening or clear part, and an interposed ring 14 are supported below a glass or other column 10 containing a light source. A member 11 of obscured glass or other material is provided. In a wall lamp, two square glass tiles are arranged with diagonals in line in front of clear portions on a diffusing glass sheet, and are supported by a frame carrying two electric lamp bulbs. Another arrangement has in front of the light source a moulded glass tile and a sheet of differing glass arranged as before described, and behind the light source is another sheet of obscured glass.
