362,610. Daylight lamps. HOLMES, R. R., 19, Pembridge Gardens, Bayswater, London, and WEDGWOOD & SONS, Ltd., J., Etruria, Stoke-on-Trent. Nov. 3, 1930, No. 32967. [Class 75 (iv).] In a daylight lamp for illuminating a surface below the lamp, direct rays from an incandescent electric lamp bulb A falling on the surface are diffused and the surface of a reflector B arranged above the bulb is tinted with a pigment such as cobalt blue which absorbs some of the yellow and red rays from the bulb but allows the light falling on the surface to contain a substantially larger proportion of such rays than ordinary daylight. The reflector is preferably of conical shape and made of earthenware or porcelain, and the direct rays may be diffused by frosting or otherwise treating the bulb or by arranging a diffusing screen C below the bulb. According to the Provisional Specification some of the rays reach the surface direct from the bulb.
