[Class 75 (iv)] A daylight lamp comprises a source of light A disposed within a casing E and co-operating with a reflector (not shown), the light-emitting opening in the casing being closed by a plurality of differently coloured filters a, b, c arranged in contact side-by-side on a diffusing plate d of ground or frosted glass. The filters are bichromatic in character and, in one example given, the effective surface of the composite filter is made up of <6>/9 violet-blue, <2>/9 green-yellow, and 1/9 orange-red.
