Abstract
415,964. Street lamps. ZEISS IKON AKT.-GES., 72, Schandauerstrasse, Dresden, Germany. March 9, 1934, No. 7578. Convention date, March 11, 1933. [Class 75 (iv).] In a street lamp adapted to illuminate substantially the same elongated area whether either or both of a pair of incandescent lamps are alight, the lamps 1, 2 are provided with parallel individual non-circular reflectors 3, 4 so that the illuminated areas produced also are parallel. The lower edge 10 of the lamp casing 5 may be fitted with a closure globe, but it is preferably fitted with a ring 11 and a partition 20 both made of matt glass. The lamps 1, 2 may be of equal power and be suspended by similar holders 23, 24 from a cross-piece 25, or they may be of unequal power and be individually adjustable so as to obtain three different intensities of illumination.
